The founder of MPM Sport Horses is the blogger Melina Poole-Minnillo, who purchased her own show partner at the end of 2016. Their first jumping show together took place at the beginning of 2017. Two years later, in 2019, her horse had to retire due to particular circumstances. After devoting all her time in 2019 to her horse’s rehabilitation, she kick-started her professional training career in 2020.

Melina’s horse was a jumper horse that participated in several jumping events and competitions. Showjumping is a typical English equine riding. Other types of English equine riding are dressage, eventing, and hunting.

Since MPM Sport Horses wanted us to model the Geometric Horse Logo after her own jumper, we drew inspiration from him. For this logo design, we opted for an art deco style. We wanted the logo to be modern and represent a classic yet an elegant picture of the MPM Sport Horses. When choosing the color scheme of the logo, we opted for black and silver.

Since we chose the overall Geometric Horse Logo design to be inspired by art deco style, including geometric shapes, was a given. We attempted to draw several different designs until we decided to include a diamond‘s shape in the logo as an added element. To achieve that, we layered squares on top of each other.

For the acronym of the business, we used straight and simple lines. We wanted to have a unique element in the acronym since the whole design would be leaning towards a simplistic style. To add a special touch to the Geometric Horse Logo, we decided to somehow weave in the letters with each other instead of separating them completely. By making the letter “P” a part of the letter “M,” we successfully achieved that.
