Anna Kudick graduated from the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy and Education as well as Fox Valley School of Massage. She holds a National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork certification, as well as being licensed by the state of Wisconsin. Alongside her massage courses, Anna also studied craniosacral therapy (adult and pediatric) and visceral manipulation. 

In 2008 she put her education to use and established Pure Body Balance. An equestrian for over twenty years, Anna initially focused solely on equine bodywork and the difference it could make in the well-being and performance of horses. She utilizes equine osteopathy and craniosacral therapy to help improve a number of conditions.

Equine osteopathy assesses how well the brain, organs, and skeleton are working together as a whole, which has an impact on mobility and how resistant the body is to disease. Manual manipulation can help release any related “blocks” and help the horse on the road to better health.

Craniosacral therapy can be used both as a preventative measure and as a treatment for issues related to pain and mobility, such as lameness, TMJ, colic, cribbing, and more. The therapy method uses light finger pressure to help improve central nervous system function and is regarded as a gentle alternative to the bone manipulation chiropractic work utilizes. Craniosacral therapy is said to help the horse’s body heal itself through release of stored trauma or injury.

Using this for inspiration, we designed a stunning work of art depicting a girl hugging a horse. Her gentle hands on the horse’s face speak of the serene nature of Pure Body Balance’s work and illustrate a moment in time that every horse lover can relate to. 

The vector style design utilizes the likeness of a Morgan horse so that its’ physical attributes will be appealing to enthusiasts of all breeds and disciplines.

We chose to use a mixture of calligraphy and brush script integrated into the lines of the horse’s body to add a holistic element to this custom horse massage logo. The balance of the business name is rendered in hand lettered sans serif font, which is modern and easy to read without detracting from the beauty of the line art design.
