Royal Sport Horse Complex is an equestrian facility in Houston, Texas that specializes in the sale and training of show jumpers, along with instruction for their riders.  Their head trainer, Walid Alrashed, has been riding, training, and competing at the most prestigious levels for almost thirty years and made his new home in the United States in 2019 to found Royal Sport Horses.

 Alrashed comes from a family of equestrians, and was able to train with Dutch Olympic Team gold medalist Bert Romp in Holland as a youth.  He has since won and placed at numerous International Grand Prix events throughout the world.  Among these wins are the 2014 FEI World Cup qualifier in Amman (with KWPN gelding, Tokyo) and the 2018 5-year-old FEI/WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Belgium with Westphalian stallion, Comme II Blue.

Although Walid enjoys competing in the show ring, he also thoroughly enjoys bringing along young show prospects and riders of all levels.  He prides himself on presenting an honest picture of each sale prospect to buyers, and prefers to approach sales with a quality over quantity approach.  This honesty has earned Royal Sport Horse Complex the reputation as an authority in acquisition and development of some of the most talented jumper horses in the world. 

Many of their sale horses also excel in the hunter and equitation rings as well.  Most of these young horses go on to compete at the highest level, but Alrashed is quick to mention that sale horses will never be advertised as something that they are not.  He also prides himself on making sure that each rider who seeks his help in finding a show prospect is matched with a horse that meets their expectations for their competitive goals, but is also appropriate for the rider’s skill level.

Royal Sport Horses offers training, boarding, and lessons from their state of the art equine facility in the Houston, TX area.  The farm boasts three impressive barns with a total of 84 stalls.  The matted stalls are outfitted with automatic waterers and an automatic fly spray system throughout for the comfort of boarders and horses in for training, and horses have access to 15 ½ acres of grass pasture to stretch their legs and graze. 

Riders enjoy air-conditioned tack rooms and a lounge equipped with a full kitchen, bath, and showers.  Two covered riding arenas and a covered round pen allow for riding in all weather.  The high end feel of the facility is well matched to the top quality prospects Royal Sport Horses offers for consideration of discerning riders.

During the brainstorming session with the client, our artist recognized that Walid wanted the custom logo for Royal Sport Horses to exude luxury and prestige.  Rendered in our signature vector graphic style, we took inspiration from the company name to craft a unique design.  When one thinks of royal logo ideas, often our minds go straight to a crown.  Hinging on the business name, a regal crown tops a line art design of a jumping horse.  The horse is displayed in classic hunter/jumper style, with knees tucked neatly under its chin in mid-jump and a neatly braided mane. 

An emphasis on sport horses and show jumping is indicated by two precise details included on the simple equine art-open front jumping boots and a fly bonnet.  These details add interest and life to this equestrian royal logo, and the viewer can’t help but imagine the lifelike horse in mid-flight.

Adding to the plush, prestigious feel of the design, a traditional laurel wreath surrounds the jumping horse and is topped by the signature gold crown.  Known worldwide as a symbol of victory, the laurel wreath is synonymous with the winning reputation that Royal Sport Horses is known for.
